Pumpkin Patch

Our visit to the pumpkin patch this year was a lot of fun. We went with two of our neighbors and the Smith family. The pumpkin patch that we went to was really cute. There is lots of fun things to do while you are there. We took a train ride, we walked a fun little trail that had a tunnel and slide for the kids part way through, and the kids got to play in a really neat tree house.
Ellie, Daphne, Alexis, Sawyer, Spencer, Tanner, Cody, Jakob, and Lucas is in front.

Tanner loved all the trains....

On the walking trail there was a little house that had a tunnel that led out from under it. The kids loved the tunnel and kept going through it over and over again.

Ellie's perfect pumpkin.

Fourth of July

The Fourth of July was a lot of fun. We decided to go to Madera this year to see the big fireworks. The celebration started with a BBQ at Grandma and Papa Barnes' house. Then we headed over to the golf course to find a spot to sit and watch the fireworks. We even ran into our friends the Smith family and they decided to finish of the night with us. The firework show was awesome! Afterward we all headed back to the Grandparent's house to set off some of our own fireworks.

All the cute kids.....
Waiting for the darkness to approach....
Grandma and all her Grand kids.

While waiting for the show we got to see this guy jump from an airplane. It was a really cool to watch the American Flag float and turn in the air.
I'm not really sure what to say about these two....

Our friends.... Brandon and Eileen

Getting darker.....
GO Kaleigh! You are one strong girl!
Finally.....
Oh yes, Ellie hates the loud noises that fireworks make. We came prepared this year with earplugs for her. She was quite happy to wear them.
Watching the Fireworks...

Happy Birthday America!!!

Nelder Grove

For Memorial day weekend we headed up to Nelder Grove for a fun weekend of camping with the Sapps. We went up on Friday to get a camping spot and it rained on us all day and night. Lucky for the Sapps the rain had stopped by the time they got there on Saturday. On Saturday while we were waiting for our friends we headed out to find Meghan and Kaleigh who were cleaning trails with Camp Fire. We found them at Shadows of the Giants, but we walked the whole trail without seeing them. So we waited by their cars, apparently they had left the trail to look at some pretty waterfalls. Some pictures of us hiking.
Here we are at the end of the trail... we surprised them with our visit. They had no clue we were going to be up there. and I believe my mom and sister are telling me that I am crazy for hiking. They thought I was trying to make myself go into labor.

Back at Nelder Grove.....
Tanner had just gotten this Batman coloring book on our way through Oakhurst on Friday. He sat forever looking at it. He even started saying Batman, which is a real big deal for Tanner.

On Sunday afternoon we were visited by my Mom, Meghan, Kaleigh and Brendan. They stopped by before they headed home. While they were there Grandma started a snowball fight with all the kids.... boy did she ask for it!
In this picture Brendan and Tanner were making horrible noises. Which, as you can see, they thought were really funny.
And if you go to Nelder.... you have to climb the giant stumps!

More pictures from our campsite....
My man chopping wood, I think he is smokin' hot!
Four pairs of shoes lined up by the fire.... must mean that four little kids put their feet in the water!

Before we went home Ellie and I took LaShay and Mason to see the Bull Buck Tree. It is a nice easy hike. I have hiked this trail many times growing up and I love it! It is definitely worth it to see this beautiful huge tree!
