Halloween

Her is Ellie and one of her school friends during there costume parade at school. I had taken Tanner to speech that day and we got to watch the parade before we went home.
Thursday the 28th

Firday the 29th was our ward Halloween party. Brian entered the chili cook off and got 2nd place! He makes awesome chili! Before the kids went around the building to trick or treat we had chili boats and salad. It was delicious, of course I did use the Chili that Brian made!
Ellie... The Rock Star!
Tanner.... The Sheriff!
and Nathan.... The Pumpkin!
Ellie dressed up for Halloween three different times and each time I styled her hair differently. This is hairstyle #2.
Above- Ellie and Tanner Trick or Treating one of the class rooms.
Below- The Bishop and his family decorated the area by his office as Candy Land and they dressed the part too! The Bishop was King Kandy, his wife was Queen Frostine and their daughter was Princess Lolly. Too cute!

Happy Halloween!
We got invited to go Trick or Treating with our neighbors.
We didn't go very far, but the kids still ended up with too much candy! Brian and Nate stayed at home to pass out candy and watch the Giants game. Afterward we headed next door and sat out front by our neighbors fire pit and handed out candy.

Fourth of July

The Fourth of July was a lot of fun. We decided to go to Madera this year to see the big fireworks. The celebration started with a BBQ at Grandma and Papa Barnes' house. Then we headed over to the golf course to find a spot to sit and watch the fireworks. We even ran into our friends the Smith family and they decided to finish of the night with us. The firework show was awesome! Afterward we all headed back to the Grandparent's house to set off some of our own fireworks.

All the cute kids.....
Waiting for the darkness to approach....
Grandma and all her Grand kids.

While waiting for the show we got to see this guy jump from an airplane. It was a really cool to watch the American Flag float and turn in the air.
I'm not really sure what to say about these two....

Our friends.... Brandon and Eileen

Getting darker.....
GO Kaleigh! You are one strong girl!
Finally.....
Oh yes, Ellie hates the loud noises that fireworks make. We came prepared this year with earplugs for her. She was quite happy to wear them.
Watching the Fireworks...

Happy Birthday America!!!

Easter

Easter Sunday was a lot of fun this year. We started our day by watching the morning session of General Conference and eating a delicious breakfast with the whole Humann clan.

After Conference the kids went on an Easter Egg hunt and they found lots of eggs! Ellie and Ethan were excited to have found the eggs that had a dollar in them! After all the eggs were found we went inside and looked through the Easter baskets that Diane put together for everyone. Brian got a kit to make balloon animals, which turned out to be a huge hit. All the "Big" boys had lots of fun making swords and a few flowers. Below is a picture of Brian making a balloon sword. (This picture was taken at Breanna's house, Brian had so much fun making them at his parent's house that he decided to make them at my sister's house too).

Tanner's favorite thing to eat that day was........ the insides of deviled eggs. Yummy! I think that was the only thing he ate besides bread and candy. Oh well, one day of junk isn't going to kill him.

After spending the morning in Clovis with the Humann's, we headed to Madera to be with the Barnes'. We got to have lots of fun there too. Including another Easter Egg Hunt with even more Easter Eggs!!!

It started raining during the egg hunt in Madera, but that didn't stop these crazy kids from finding all the Easter Eggs!

Above and Below... two of the most beautiful children in the whole world!

We ended our Easter Holiday with fun new games that Meghan and Danny brought back from Utah. They always bring home new games to share with us when they go to Utah.

Fourth Of July

I love the Fourth of July! I love fireworks and barbecuing! But most of all I love wearing festive clothing! Although this year I procrastinated and wasn't able to find anything red to add to my attire. I think Ellie and Tanner made up for it. Ellie's outfit is adorable and Tanner's shirt says Born in the USA.

Here are some pictures of us swimming at Adam and Sandy's house.
Tanner had lots of fun jumping in the water! You have to keep a close eye on this boy... he thinks he can swim.
Ellie is my fish out of water.... She loves to swim. She would stay in the pool all day if I let her. Whenever we go swimming she is always the last one out of the pool and I still have to make her get out! She is a fearless swimmer, she loves to jump off the diving board and can go anywhere in the pool she wants!
